DiPel 8 L and
Foray 48B
DiPel is the leading biological insecticide used in the world today.
DiPel offers proven, cost effective broad spectrum worm (Lepidoptera)
control on vegetable, fruits, nuts, vines, corn, cotton, soybeans,
turf and other crops. DiPel and Foray are an excellent alternative
to traditional insecticides and provides effective worm control.
It is alone, in a tank-mix, or in rotation with other insecticides.
DiPel and Foray are powerful tools in insect resistance management.
Two formulations are available for Algeria:
DiPel 8L: Emulsifiable Suspension
Foray 48B: Water based suspension used successfully against the
date palm pyralide Ectomyelois ceratoniae (Pyralidae, Lepidopterae),
one of the most serious date palm pests in North Africa and especially
in Algeria.
Pheromone traps
Pheromones traps are used to determine which insect pests are present
in a crop and what further investigations or plant protection measures
might be necessary to assure that there will be no excessive damage
to the crop. If the synthetic attractant is exceptionally seducing
and the population level is very low, some control can be achieved
with pheromone traps or with a technique called "attract and
kill".
